GOD
We believe in one God Who is creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and Who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6-8; 45:5; Matthew 3:11-17; 1 Corinthians 8:4).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus existed bodily on this earth, fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the Cross as a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the God the Father, He is now our High Priest and Advocate, and in the Person of the Holy Spirit, He indwells the believer (Luke 2:52; John 4:6, Hebrews 5:8; John 1:3, John 20:2).
SALVATION
We believe salvation (eternal life) is a free gift offered to mankind through the grace of God. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God (John 3:16, Romans 5:10-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Ephesians 2:8-10 Galatians 4:4-6).
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is a Person, possessing intellect, emotions, and will. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict, regenerate, seal, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower us for life and service (John 14:26; 16: 8,14; 15:26; Romans 8:14, John 3:5-6).
BIBLE
We believe the Scriptures — both Old and New Testaments — to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. It is inspired by Him and is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
CHRIST’S RETURN
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer (1 John 2:28; Acts 1:9-11).
MANKIND
We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God. As a result of sin first committed by Adam, all human beings have a sinful nature. Therefore we are spiritually dead, cursed, sinners, guilty before God, deserving of judgment, and we all die physically. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained (Romans 5:12-21; Genesis 1:26; 9:6; 1 Corinthians 11:7; Colossians 3:10; James 3:9).
CHURCH
We believe the true Church is composed of every person of every tribe, language, people and nation who is regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is united together in the Body of Christ, and He is Lord and Head of the Church. All Christians are commissioned for the God-given task of proclaiming the Gospel to every person. Only those who are in the Body of Christ will be eligible for membership in the local church.
ORDINANCES
We believe in two ordinances instituted. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are symbolic, and the use of the proper symbols is important. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. Water baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The Lord’s Supper is a symbol expressing our participation in the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4), a memorial of His sufferings and death (1 Corinthians 11:26), and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Cor. 11:26). All believers are enjoined to celebrate the Lord’s Supper “until He comes” (Luke 22:15-20; Matt 26:26-28; Acts 20:7).
JUDGMENT
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead — of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and eternal separation from God (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).
